Assembly:
Step 1: Choose the right spot
Once you found the perfect spot, measure up with measuring tape to make sure your new shelf will fit. Then use your stud finder to detect any water pipes or electrical wires. If it’s clear, you’re ready to start.
Step 2: Locate the studs
You’ll need your stud finder again, this time to find the wooden studs in the wall. These are the best, most supportive places to attach something to. Mark up the studs so you know where to drill.
Step 3: Mark your mounting points
Hold the shelf bracket against the wall and use a level to keep things nice and straight. Then make markings for the screw holes.
Step 4: Install the brackets & shelves
If you’re drilling into a stud, create pilot holes slightly smaller than your screws. If you’re not, just install rawlplug firsts. Then screw the mounting brackets tightly into the holes.
Step 5: Attach the shelf
Then you’re ready to slot the shelves! Make sure it’s a tight fit and there’s no wobble. Give it all a quick check with your level and if it’s straight, start adding objects to it up to the recommended weight limit.
