FAQs
How do I fit a toilet seat?
- Remove the old seat - Unscrew the bolts at the back of the seat. These are usually under little plastic caps at the toilet's hinged end.
- Give it a good clean - Wipe the toilet rim thoroughly to remove any old gunk or residue.
- Position the new seat - Line up the new seat's fixing holes with the existing holes on the toilet bowl.
- Secure the bolts - Push the bolts through the holes. Give the nuts underneath a gentle tighten by hand, then use a spanner to give them a final turn. You’ll know when it’s tight enough because it won’t wiggle.
Remember, don't over-tighten the bolts or you might crack the porcelain!
